Job Description

Stewart’s Shops is looking for a Quality Assurance Director at our Manufacturing & Distribution center in Saratoga Springs.

Responsibilities:

• Assure quality products and processes by establishing and maintaining standards as well as appropriate testing of finished products.
• Oversees the Laboratory and Sanitation department and operations.
• Assure facilities comply with all food safety policies and procedures in addition to all FDA, USDA, and state requirements.
• Investigate and address all customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Oversee plant food quality and food safety plans to ensure they are current, relevant and are being followed.
• Inspect and review suppliers to ensure the quality of ingredients used in our products.
• Ensure that good manufacturing practices, facility hygiene and housekeeping are maintained.
• Prepare training plans to ensure that all employees have an understanding of current and new procedures, policies and work instructions.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with all regulatory agencies as we are a Dairy, Ice Cream and Ready to Eat Manufacturing Facility.
• Ensure pest control programs are current and compliant.
