Stewart’s Shares: Victoria Acres

Stewart's Shares, Victoria Acres

The Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match program helps fund all types of programs for children’s charities. Some organizations request funding for a specific event, while others use the funds towards programs that happen year round. Truly, the impact of Holiday Match is felt throughout the year, something that makes the program so special.

One organization that received funds in 2022 was Victoria Acres. In 2012, Erin Pashley, Victoria Acre’s Executive Director found the organization . Victoria Acre’s mission is to  promote empowerment, encouragement, and education through equine assisted therapies. Their programs cater to a wide range of individuals. It doesn’t matter if you’re a veterans with PTSD or someone with a disability, there’s a program for you at Victoria Acres.

At Victoria Acres there are five main programs. Their Therapeutic Riding Class utilizes equine-assisted activities for the purpose of positively contributing to the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being of people with disabilities. Through their Horse Sense Program participants learn about communication, trust, honesty, accountability, responsibility, self confidence, anger and more. Horses4Heroes is a health and wellness program designed to teach life skills through guided horse interaction. They also offer Recreational Riding lessons and Groundworking lessons for anyone to learn horse basics.

By working with the certified PATH instructors, individuals can gain the confidence they need to succeed. Through equine assisted therapies  people can heal and achieve whatever goals they have. There are countless examples of success stories through Victoria Acres. Organizations, like Victoria Acres, rely on generous donors for support throughout the year.

We went to the stables to all the joy their programs bring and who they help. Check out the video below to learn more about Holiday Match and Victoria Acres.
