Congratulations to Joanne McDermott for being named the May Shareholder of the Month at the Stewart’s Corporate Office.  Joanne has worked for Stewart’s for over 20 years and always puts in a tremendous amount of hard work as the Consumer Affairs Director for the company.  She also takes care of all our accident claims and assists our legal department with background work.  Joanne is always willing to help out in any area as needed, trains fellow partners, and volunteers to take on more.  She received $100 and a Shareholder of the Month fleece.  She will also attend a luncheon with Stewart’s President Gary Dake and the rest of the Moovers Club next month.  Congrats, Joanne!  Joanne is pictured with Stewart’s Shops President Gary Dake.

There was lots of sunshine and smiles at the Stewart’s company picnic this past weekend.  The event was held at the Great Escape in Lake George, NY!  Take a look at all the fun…

Meet our latest lottery winner from Essex County. Jamie Velsini won $1 million on a Fabulous Fortune scratch-off at our Port Henry shop back in May. The big check was presented to him at the shop today. He opted for the lump sum. Jamie plans to put some of his winning towards his upcoming wedding!

The Grand Opening of our newly acquired shop in Lake Placid was celebrated this past Saturday, June 8th. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at noon, followed by an ice cream eating contest at 1pm. WSLP radio was also on hand broadcasting live! Customers took advantage of great deals on gas and Stewart’s products all day long, and some even had their picture taken with Flavor the Cow!

Congratulations to Kris Rockwell (right) for being named the May Shareholder of the Month at the Stewart’s Plant.  Kris works in our Bread Department and has been with Stewart’s since April of 2011.  He takes great pride in his work and is currently learning to perform cycle counts and back stocking.  Kris continues to have above average productivity when picking bread orders. So far this year he has a 100% pick accuracy!  He is also extremely helpful to other departments and always has a positive attitude!  For his efforts, Kris received a Shareholder of the Month fleece and $100.  He will also attend a luncheon with President Gary Dake and the Moovers Club next month.  Other nominees were Don Denue, Ricky Staulters, and Joe Mulvaney. Congrats and keep up the good work everyone!  Kris is being congratulated by Dan Gordon of the Stewart’s Plant.

Our new shop in West Cohoes is now open for business! Stop by for an ice cold refresher, a bite to eat, your favorite ice cream, and more!  See all the changes in our new 3,400 square foot shop,  including a new walk-in beer cave, fresh pizza by the slice or whole pie, two restrooms, and more!  The shop is located right next to the former shop at 480 Columbia Street. Installation of the gas tanks and pumps will begin later this month. We hope to be pumping gas by mid-July.
