Another new Stewart’s Shops is here! We have been remodeling and rebuilding stores all year and are excited to announce to announce that our Market Street in Amsterdam, NY shop is now open.
The new shop is is a completely new building on a bigger lot, right where the beloved Fred’s Auto used to be. Fred sold us his land after 52 years of running his auto shop. He had owned and operated the shop since he was a teenager in 1968. According to a WNYT article, Baranello says, “He has no regrets, no emptiness, just a heart that’s full.”
Amsterdam is home to unique museums, rich history, a beautiful riverfront, and great nature to enjoy with hiking trials and places to kayak. Stewart’s Shops is excited to give this community a brand-new store!
What’s different about this new shop? With the new shop, you get more parking, more fueling stations, a bigger store, and more seating. When you walk in you will see more produce, pizza and more of our food to go options. Stop in for some of Stewart’s chili, hot dogs, mac and cheese and soups at the expanded food bar. We also have hot and cold sandwiches to go!

In honor of this event we donated $2,000 to the Amsterdam Free Library for support of technology upgrades in the children’s room.
