Stewart’s Shops is a proud supporter of Habitat for Humanity’s works in Rutland County, Vermont! Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing families in need with safe and affordable housing. Currently, the Rutland County affiliate is focused on works in Rutland City. They are working to help improve the quality of life in the community by decreasing the number of vacant buildings and increasing the number of homeowners.
As we’ve done for years, Stewart’s Shops contributed $1,000 towards the projects in Rutland City. The contribution will be used to purchase building supplies and construction materials that are vital in transforming these properties into family friendly, energy efficient homes.
A quote from Habitat’s website says, “We are very grateful to Stewart’s Shops for their generous financial support. Two of their stores are located less than a mile from the first two homes we have built in Rutland. Their help has had a very positive impact on the Rutland community.”
With Habitat for Humanity’s help, 15 people have new homes. Their newest project, located on Crescent Street, is anticipated to be completed in May of 2020.
Stewart’s Shops is proud to support this initiative and many others. This past week alone we were able to donate $46,287 to 81 organizations. Check out the listing below:
