Marguerite Petit Award

Congratulations to the Canton Stewart’s Shop for winning the  1st Annual Marguerite Petit Food Excellence Award.

What is the Marguerite Petit Food Excellence Award?

The Marguerite Petit Award was created to recognize shops practicing the highest food presentation, quality, food excellence and safety standards. The shop that scores the highest average on the combined scores of the district and Corporate President’s Inspection for food safety standards will be awarded with the honors of the Marguerite Petit Food Excellence Awarded.

This award honors the late Marguerite Petit. Marguerite developed a comprehensive food safety program that is still used today.  Her colleagues would tell you that she was a smart, hardworking, and generous woman with very high standards.

Awards
Each year, four shops will be recognized with this high honor. There will be a gold, silver, bronze and most improved awards given. The winning shop will receive a plaque and each of the Partners will receive a My Money Card, $100 for Gold, $75 for Silver, $50 for Bronze and $25 for Most Improved. Each Partner also receives a jacket and a specially designed pin that they can proudly display on their uniform.  All shops must pass the NYS Ag and Mkt Inspection as well as all district and corporate inspections to be eligible.
