The Electric City Gains a Newly Rebuilt Stewart’s Shop

Vandenberg Shop Rebuild

We’ve been working hard all year to get new shops built for you. The new shop in Schenectady is the latest store we have completely rebuilt, tearing the old shop down and building a brand new shop.

Schenectady is home to a beautiful and historic downtown area. The stockade district is Schenectady’s oldest neighborhood, it used to be a fort and is now home to over 40 pre-Revolutionary homes! Downtown you can catch a show at Proctor’s theater or go shopping on Jay Street.

Did you know? Union College in Schenectady, which is right down the road from the new store, is the oldest planned college campus in the country! It is also home to one of the only 16 sided buildings in the world.

The new shop is on a bigger lot which means more parking and more fueling stations for a quick, easy, and convenient stops.  While you stop, be sure to come in and check out the expanded food section. All your Stewart’s favorites like mac and cheese, soups and chili can be found at the expanded food bar. We offer hot or cold sandwiches to go and the new shop also has pizza now, either by the slice or a whole pie! The grocery section has been expanded and a beer cave has been added too!

We celebrated the new shop with a Grand Opening Celebration!|

In honor of the grand opening, we made a $2,000 to Jesse T. Zoller Elementary toward their wish list of items to help foster equity and inclusion at the school.
