There is an urgent need for blood donations for all types!

So far this June, the Red Cross has collected 4,000 pints in our area! But the goal is to have 8,000 donors for the month of June. We’ve reached 50% of our goal!

The following few days of June are packed with events, so if you can, stop by a blood drive near you to give a Pint and Get a Pint! That’s right! Every donor will receive a Stewart’s Pint certificate for their donation!

Give blood, get a sweet treat – of Stewart’s ice cream! We’ve again partnered with the American Red Cross of the Eastern NY Region with the ‘Give a Pint, Get A Pint’ campaign. If you donate blood during the month of June, you will get a coupon for a free pre-packaged pint of Stewart’s ice cream or gelato that can be redeemed at any of our shops!

Blood donations are a bit slow during this busy time of year – but it’s always important to take the time to help save a life. Every pint can save three lives!

Stewart’s is also a proud sponsor of the Missing Types Corporate Campaign to create awareness and increase donations that launched on June 11th. Many other corporations have joined Stewart’s for this cause, losing their A’s, B’s, and O’s.

With only about 38 percent of the population even eligible to give blood, and only about 10 percent of those people — that’s 3 percent of the population — giving blood yearly, donations are desperately needed. Stewart’s Shops is stepping up to help this great cause.
