The #10GallonChallenge Continues

10 Gallon Challenge Continues

Every day, we pick up milk from 30 local dairy farms. We are proud to support local dairies, so when the #10GallonChallenge made its way to New York, we were excited to take the challenge. See Susan take the challenge. And we are supporting the challenge with fresh & local milk.

The #10GallonChallenge is picking up momentum in the Capital Region, North Country, and Hudson Valley regions. In the past few weeks, thirty-one school superintendents throughout the Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex Board of Cooperative Educational Services area have taken part in #10gallonchallenge, where they’ve been challenging each other to purchase at least ten gallons of milk and/or milk cards from Stewart’s Shops in their school district and donate the milk to food pantries in their community and/or their respective school’s backpack program.

The #10GallonChallenge began in Wisconsin as a way to help the struggling dairy producers with an overproduction of milk and to help families in need.

How it works:
1) Buy 10 Gallons of Milk (Get a gallon free if you use your Milk Club Card at Stewart’s)
2) Donate the 10 gallons to your local food pantry

Are you up for the #10gallonchallenge? If so, stop into Stewart’s Shops for fresh and local milk and don’t forget your Milk Club Card! We are closer to you.
