Holiday Match applications are being accepted until January 31st. This year’s Holiday Match program was one of the most successful ones. Customers donated over $1 million for only the second time in Holiday Match history. With the Stewart’s match that’s over $2 million going towards nonprofit charities benefitting children. All the funds will support local organizations in our communities. Organizations are encouraged to apply until January 31st, online at stewartsshops.com/holiday-match

We are proud to highlight some of last year’s Holiday Match recipients. Next up is, Hudson Headwaters.
Hudson Headwaters and Stewarts’s Shops both take pride in serving the communities they are in. Through our Holiday Match donation, Hudson Headwaters received support for their Reach Out and Read and First Book programs.
These programs provide children with books to take home after their doctors’ visits. Through this system, families can build up a library of books for their kids over crucial development years. It encourages reading and education achievements outside of school, brings families together and teaches new lifelong skills.
The programs are not only for the kids. The medical provider and the parents will work together to gauge a child’s developmental skills through their reading. Parents also learn skills to help make daily reading a fun habit for the whole family.
Hudson Headwaters Health Network is a nonprofit system of 21 community health centers providing primary care to more than 7,200 square miles of the Adirondack North Country and Glens Falls region. Their practitioners care for more than 1,200 people a day, accounting for about 425,000 patient visits in 2020.
