Last year we were able to help over 1,700 nonprofits impacting children. Holiday Match is able to help children all year long. Thank you to our generous customers, hardworking Partners, and generous media support.
Last year, customers donated over $1 million for only the second time in Holiday Match history! With the Stewart’s match that’s over $2 million benefiting children.
If you are a nonprofit impacting children, we encourage you to apply for funding! Holiday Match applications are being accepted until January 31st. You can find the application by clicking here.
Take a look at how Holiday Match benefitted Special Olympics of New York, a long time Holiday Match recipient!
Special Olympics, New York, provides opportunities to people with disabilities to “discover and unleash” their inner champion. Their newest program, the Young Athletes Program, was a recipient of a Holiday Match donation last year.
The Holiday Match grant they received helped them purchase equipment for the athletes like balls, jump ropes, hoops, nets, and curriculum for the athletes, as well as facility spaces.
The program is for everyone ages 2-7. It introduces basic sport skills to kids and teaches inclusivity at an early age. The Young Athletes Program provides valuable opportunities for children with and without disabilities to come together in a fun and safe environment.
Young Athlete Programs can be done in schools, homes, and the community. Games played and skills learned in the community setting can be used at home with parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends. At school, teachers and therapists can use the tools learned during the Young Athletes Program in the classroom to support children in developing important motor, communication and learning skills. The program creates connections and build skills that will last a lifetime.
Check out the video below and meet Kaya, she is one of the of the athletes in the program. Her story is sure to make you smile!
