Our newly rebuilt Keene shop is open! This shop is part of our $25M investment in 10 new shops in the North Country in 2019-2020 (Port Henry, Schroon, Chestertown, North Creek, Elizabethtown, Peru, Indian Lake, Keene, Lake Luzerne and Malone).
In the six-million-acre Adirondack Park, there are only five McDonald’s, three Dunkin’ Donuts, five Dollar Generals, nine Tops Friendly Markets, one Walmart, and 26 Stewart’s Shops. Yes 26 Stewart’s Shops!
And each shop truly has its own personality. Our Keene shop is a popular destination for gas, groceries. snacks, and of course- ice cream. With the nearest gas station and grocery store nearly 20 miles away, Stewart’s is a destination for essentials, gas and so much more.
With many trails in the area, hikers depend on this shop to fuel their hikes with protein powered snacks. If Lake Placid is your destination, you likely use this shop to fuel up and warm up with coffee or a quick meal. Anyone traveling through Keene knows how busy this shop and this upgrade and additional parking was much needed! This shop serves as the town grocery store and offers more grocery items like mushrooms, strawberries, and lots of fresh produce!
Grand Opening
On Friday, December 4th, we will celebrate the opening of this shop with a Grand Opening celebration. Joining us for the official ribbon cutting will be, Senator Betty Little, Assemblyman Dan Stec, and local town officials. Our shop manager will do the official honors of cutting the ribbon at 11 am. And the shop will celebrate all day on Friday, December 4th with 10 cents off gas, food and drink specials.

On Friday, December 11th, we will celebrate our brand new shop in the Town of Moreau on Spier Falls Rd. We will have a ribbon-cutting at 10 am and will celebrate all day with gas, food and drink specials.
