June is National Dairy month and we are celebrating all month long at Stewart’s Shops. Stewart’s Shops is proud to support and work with local, family-run farms to supply you with the freshest milk and award winning ice cream.
Where does Stewart’s Shops milk come from?
Stewart’s Shops proudly sources our milk from 21 local family-run farms across Washington, Saratoga and Rensselaer counties, picking up more than 25,000 gallons of milk each day from about 2,900 cows. With our farthest farm being just 36 miles from our plant, you cannot get fresher milk. Our milk goes from farm to shop coolers in 48 hours.

Our collaboration with New York dairy farmers guarantees fresh, high-quality milk that offers the rich, creamy delicious flavor that our customers cherish. Unlike ultra-pasteurized milk, Stewart’s milk undergoes traditional pasteurization, preserving natural flavor and nutritional integrity. Stewart’s Milk is New York State Grown and Certified, which means it comes from farms that meet specific food safety standards and demonstrate environmental stewardship.
Stewart’s Shops won Best Milk in New York State for the fourth year in a row in 2025, a recognition awarded by Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
