Stewart's Shops opens new location in former Dexter Market in Dexter, NY

Hot pizza. Fresh sandwiches. Award-winning milk and ice cream.

Those are among the exciting treats at the new Stewart’s Shops in Dexter, New York.

Stewart’s opened its newest store at the former Dexter Market at 308 Brown St. in Dexter last week following a two-month renovation.

Located west of Watertown, near the banks of the Black River and eastern shores of Lake Ontario, the Dexter shop adds another close-knit community to the Stewart’s market area.

The shop features a large food bar with soup, meatballs and mac & cheese. Stewart’s also added an expanded grocery section, a sandwich station and a beer cave. The shop also offers Sunoco gas and diesel.

The Dexter location represents a $2.5 million investment in the community and serves as an important piece of Stewart’s expansion throughout northern New York.

To celebrate the opening of the new shop, Stewart’s will hold a grand opening event with food and drink specials on May 29th. To commemorate the event, Stewart’s will donate $1,000 and $500 in gift certificates to General Brown High School and $1,000 to the Dexter Free Library.
