Stewart’s Shops Dedicates Ice Cream to South High Marathon Dance

South High Marathon Dance

Stewart’s Shops is proud to partner with South High Marathon Dance to raise awareness for this age-old tradition to raise money for families and community organizations fighting debilitating illnesses. Stewart’s Shops will honor the South High Marathon Dance with a dedicated ice cream flavor at the cone counter at participating shops. This flavor will be known as Marathon Blast, originally known as Fireworks ice cream.

Marathon Blast is a combination of  creamy vanilla ice cream with a tart cherry swirl and red and blue pop-rocks that burst in your mouth! It will be available from Monday, April 26th through Sunday, May 2nd at these participating shops:

Shop 216-South Glens Falls- 3 Saratoga Avenue South Glens Falls, NY
Shop 276-Spier Falls- 1311 Rt 9 Gansevoort, NY 12831
Shop 392-Bluebird Rd- 43 Bluebird Rd. South Glens Falls, NY 12803

This year’s event will look a little different, but the goal is still the same. The event will not be open to the public, instead it will be available via online streaming. Approximately 600 students will participate in the dance on April 30, which will take place in a large pavilion space in the Six Flags park.

We have been proudly scooping ice cream at this every year and donating the proceeds. Since this year’s event is virtual, we are making a $3,500 financial contribution.

Stewart’s Shops president, Gary Dake says, “We look forward to showing our support for the South High Marathon Dance each year and bringing together ice cream and dancing to raise money for this great cause.”

Donations can be made online through the official marathon dance website. The silent auction, 50/50 raffle and other fundraising events will be held online.
