Stewart’s Shops, a family and employee owned company, is under contract to purchase property at the corner of Routes 55 and 82 in LaGrange.
This as an opportunity to bring fresh milk, fresh eggs, soup, sandwiches and our award-winning ice cream to your community. Stewart’s is seeking permission to build a new shop to bring quality products and services to an under-served area while redeveloping a vacant property that served as a day care center many years ago.

Stewart’s Shops operates 358 shops across New York and Vermont. We are known for our fresh milk, which was voted best in New York at the state fair. Stewart’s chocolate ice cream also was named best in the state.
The company and the Dake family also invest more than $9 million a year back into local communities through our corporate charitable events and donations. An expansion into LaGrange would open up opportunities for organizations in your community to benefit from our charitable giving.

Stewart’s proposes rezoning approximately 1.5 acres at the intersection of Routes 82 and 55 from a general business zone to commercial to accommodate gas. The proposed rezoning is compatible with surrounding uses including a strip mall, Mid-Hudson Bank, an existing gas station and multiple self-storage facilities.

- We pick up eggs at Thomas Poultry in Saratoga County seven days a week.
- Most of our hot and cold food-to-go products are made by Stewart’s partners at our commercial kitchen or in the shop.
