Stewart’s Shops/The Dake Family presented a check for $5,000 at the Yaddo Reads Lending Library Grand Opening on August 9th, 2023. Stewart’s Shops and the Dake Family have been long-time supporters of the arts community and are proud to announce a contribution to Yaddo!
Yaddo, a renowned artists’ colony in Saratoga Springs, New York, opened its new Yaddo Reads Lending Library, in celebration of National Book Lovers Day. The library offers a wide selection of books for children and young adults, as well as an audio portal where stories can be read aloud.
The library is located in the Gardens at Yaddo, a beautiful setting for a place to read and relax. Visitors are welcome to browse the shelves, check out books, and enjoy the gardens. The library will also offer a variety of programs and events for children and young adults, including storytime, book clubs, and author visits.
Susan Dake, President of Stewart’s Foundation commented, “The Yaddo Reads Lending Library stands as a valuable initiative, offering children and young adults’ access to books that inspire learning and creativity.
