On any given day, you will find Chuck Warren troubleshooting a plumbing, electrical or refrigeration glitch for Stewart’s Shops.
“It keeps you busy and you are doing something different every day,” he said.
Chuck joined Stewart’s district maintenance team 10 years ago after honing his technical skills working in manufacturing and household appliance repair and installation.
Today, he is part of a team of technicians who make sure Stewart’s Shops coolers, freezers and air conditioning equipment are running properly so our milk and sandwiches stay fresh and our customers are comfortable.
Chuck covers a territory that includes Stewart’s Shops from Middletown and Monticello to Newburgh, New York.
The country is dealing with a shortage of workers who have the technical skills to resolve electrical, refrigeration, plumbing and ventilation problems and that fact is something Stewart’s is well aware of.
With our chain of more than 400 shops in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire, Stewart’s is always searching for employees who have technical skills to maintain and repair equipment.
“Companies like Stewart’s take care of the people who are keeping them running,” Chuck said. “Stewart’s is not afraid to put investments behind employees.”
Since joining Stewart’s, Chuck has had the opportunity to learn new skills and grow with the company. The company always makes sure their employees, who we call partners, can pick up a phone and call a co-worker any time they have a question, Chuck said.
“There is a difference between Stewart’s and any other place I have worked,” Chuck said. “I appreciate everyone who has ever taken me under their wing and helped me. I try to do the same for anyone else who is coming in.”
