Gary Dake Works Shift in Gansevoort to Say Thank you to Customers & Partners

Gary and five employees from the wilton shop. Holiday match written in the Stewarts wave.

Gary Dake, president of Stewart’s Shops put in a 4 hour shift at the Gansevoort shop to say thank you to generous customers and congratulate the Partners at this shop as a top collection shop for Holiday Match. Gary stocked shelves, ran the register and even scooped ice cream for some lucky customers.

The 2019 Holiday Match program has raised over $1.79 million for local children’s organizations. From Thanksgiving Day through Christmas Day, Stewart’s customers impressively donated over $895,000 to the program. Each individual donation is matched penny for penny by Stewart’s Shops. There are no administrative costs and 100% of the funds benefit local, non-profit children’s organizations. The total raised each day increased by an average of 5% in all 336 shops compared to last year.

1,830 children’s organizations received funding from last year’s Holiday Match campaign. All local children’s charities are encouraged to apply for funding annually from the Holiday Match program. A listing of all the charities that received Holiday Match funding last year is available at stewartsshops.com.
