REMODELING TO BETTER SERVE YOU!

Our shop on Brunswick Road in Troy, NY is undergoing a gas remodel.  The shop recently received two new tanks, inlcuding a 15,000 gallon tank and a 6,000 gallon tank.  The work should be completed around September 15th.

Work is underway on a new Stewart's Shop in Fonda, NY. The shop will be constructed directly behind the existing location on West Main Street. When finished at the end of September, the shop will be nearly 3,000 square feet and will have more than a dozen parking spaces. The new shop will also include six gas pumps featuring pay at the pump service. Work on the gas island will be completed at the end of October. Thank you for your patience.

Congratulations to Patty Suprenant our District Manager of the Quarter! Patty, seen here with Stewart's VP David Caruso, is based out of Saratoga Springs, NY and is being recognized for doing an excellent job in her district, along with superior work assisting other DM's and their districts. She wins a weekend at the company condo in Lake Placid, plus dinner for two at a restaurant of her choice. Thanks for a great job Patty!

STEWART'S ICE CREAM VOTED THE BEST IN THE CAPITAL REGION!

More than 18,000 ballots were submitted for the annual Times Union Best of the Capital Region contest, and once again Stewart's Shops has been recognized for having the best ice cream!  According to the Times Union website...It's tough to give directions in the Capital Region without including a reference to Stewart's. The maroon-and-white stores are everywhere, and, judging by the voting, they are selling a lot of ice cream. One voter noted "also the best price." At least a dozen of the changing list of ice cream offerings were mentioned, including four kinds of chocolate and two types of vanilla.  Thank you to our customers for your support.

Stewart's Ice Cream Production Partners pose for a photo outside the plant with their trophy and new jackets in honor of producing the #1 ranked vanilla ice cream in the world!

Stewart's Shops Philly Vanilla ice cream has been named the #1 vanilla ice cream in the world! That was the word from the judges at the World Dairy Expo 2009, held in Madison, Wisconsin. Philly Vanilla is named after Philly Dake, the inventor of our famous Make Your Own Sundae, the Make Your Own Scholarship for the college age children of Stewart's employees and the one who recently gave a gift of  $775,000 worth of "My Money Cards" to the over four thousand Stewart's employees.

Philly Vanilla, pure vanilla ice cream speckled with crushed vanilla beans, licked 24 other contenders from around the globe to be named the #1 Vanilla ice cream in the world. "This is a great example of the focus on fresh ingredients and quality that our customers enjoy everyday. All of us at Stewart's thank the hardworking people in our Ice Cream department" said Stewart's Shops President Gary Dake.

The judges at the World Dairy Championship Dairy Product Contest tested all the entries for flavor, body & texture, appearance & color, and melting quality. The award for being #1 was given out on September 29th at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin. Philly Vanilla is available in pints, "full" half gallons, and at the cone counter.

Jim Botch (left) congratulates John Williamson for being selected as the July Shareholder of the Month at the Stewart's plant.  John works with many different departments at the plant and has been with Stewart's since October of 1997.  He has a flexible schedule, a great attitude, and is a team player.  For being named the Shareholder of the Month, John received $100 and a Shareholder of the Month sweatshirt. The other nominees were Craig Hansen, Ida Prouty, and Art Howes. Congratulations to everyone on a job well done!
