We’re officially in the holiday spirit, and so is all of Saratoga Springs! The Saratoga Downtown Business Association (DBA) is lighting up Broadway with 60 beautifully decorated Christmas Trees. For the past 33 years the Saratoga DBA, in collaboration with Discover Saratoga, has presented a Victorian Streetwalk event. The event, usually stacked with tons of fun holiday activities, had to be reimagined this year in order to make the festivities safe for all. This year, the celebration will be known as the Victorian Streetscape, and will take place all month long. Kicked off with a virtual tree lighting via Facebook live, residents and visitors alike can view the beautifully lit trees virtually or in person along Broadway storefronts. Our shops located at the City Center on Broadway, Circular Street & Broadway, and Woodlawn Ave & Church St, all have the privilege of displaying these trees! So stop on in, grab a hot cup of coffee, and take in the beautiful lights!
If you can’t make it to see the trees in person, check out these photos of the Christmas trees and our Partners who were feeling the holiday spirit!
Not only does Stewart’s have the honor of displaying a few of these Christmas Trees, we were also happy to provide the DBA with a donation of $5,000 to bring Santa Claus to Town! Santa will be doing several rides through Saratoga, and children can come out to catch a glimpse of him and give a socially distant wave. While Santa is unfortunately not able to visit his temporary Saratoga home in person this year, his cottage will still be set up at Putnam Market and will have a special mailbox where kids can drop off their Christmas wish lists and letters to Santa!
