Check out the recipe below and try for yourself:
4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking soda
4 tbsp butter
1 3/4 cup Stewart’s buttermilk
Preheat your oven to 425F. Then, start your dough by whisking together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking soda in a large mixing bowl. Next, slice the butter and mix into the dry ingredients by hand. When the butter is fully combined, press the mixture towards the sides of the bowl to make a well in the center. Add the egg and your Stewart’s Buttermilk into the well, then knead until dough is fully formed.
Once the dough is ready, shape it into a round loaf, then score an “X” across the top. Bake your bread for 35-45 minutes, then serve and enjoy!
